CSA F280 heat-load calculations
HVAC contractors use Greener Homes for CSA F280-12 whole-home heat-loss calculations. These reports are commonly required for heat-pump sizing and for utility rebate documentation in British Columbia.
We prepare the calculation and the official heat-load summary form. We do not administer rebates and we do not guarantee approval. Confirm current rules with BC Hydro, FortisBC, or Better Homes BC.
When contractors typically need F280
- Whole-home heat-pump replacements that must meet 100% of the calculated load at the program design temperature
- Dual-fuel / hybrid systems that require a copy of the load calculation
- Permit, design, or manufacturer documentation that asks for a CSA F280-12 report
What to send us
- Company name and contact
- Site address
- Design outdoor temperature, if you already have it
- Software already used on the job, if any
- Plans, specs, or photos — email files to contact@greenerhome.ca
- Notes on the equipment being considered
Use the contact form for the project summary, then email the plans. Call 778-404-7002 or 1-800-679-1902.
Typical published whole-home and partial-home heat-pump rebate amounts change. Treat any dollar figure on a utility website as the administrator’s number, not a Greener Homes quote.
